Operating Hours

The Officers' Mess is open Thursday evenings from 20:00 to 24:00 while the Regiment is parading and by special arrangement (Contact the Bar Officer).

Regimental History

The Regiment is part of 39 Canadian Brigade Group in Land Forces Western Area and is a Militia infantry unit in Canada's Army Reserve.

The Regiment has won 41 Battle Honours in both world wars and has 4 Victoria Cross winners. They are Pte James Richardson, Pte William Milne, L/Cpl William Metcalf, MM and LCol Cyrus Peck, DSO.

The Regimental tartan is Hunting Stewart, the quick march is "Blue Bonnets Over the Border and the Regiment is allied to The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment).

The Regimental motto is "Deas Gu Cath" (Ready for the Fray). The Colonel-in-Chief is Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Mrs. Angus Ogilvy, GCVO, CD.
